Jim Lagarde
Jim, a native of Goshen, played High School soccer at Goshen High School. Jim went on and played collegiate soccer at Dominican College and Montclair State University. Coach Lagarde has over 20 years of coaching experience in youth soccer and is a Master Coach Candidate with the NSCAA, Coach currently has his NSCAA International Premier coaching license, which he successfully earned in Curitiba, Brazil. Along with the International Premier, Advanced National Coaching Diploma (Butler University), and the National Coaching Diploma (Fort Lauderdale, Fl), he holds a National High School Coaches Diploma and the National Director of Coaching Diploma through the NSCAA.
Jim was the boy’s varsity soccer head coach at Burke Catholic High School from 1998-2005. Jim completed a European Coaching Study tour in September 2008 in England with the English Premier League. Martyn Heather former Manager of Wimbledon Youth Academy and Current Loan Officer of the EPL hosted Jim. While there, Coach Lagarde studied the youth and professional game at Arsenal, Fulham, Tottenham hotspur, West Ham United, and Hull City Soccer Academies.
He currently is the head coach of MWSC TeamPrimo U9 Boys. Coach was the former Head Coach of MWSC TeamPrimo U18 Boys who competed for the second straight year, in the Youth World Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden in the Summer of 2009. Prior to competing in the Youth World Cup the U18 Boys went to a training camp in Hamburg, Germany hosted by Hamburg SV, 1st division team in the prestigious Bundesliga in Germany. While there the team trained with professional Coaches and played some friendly matches in preparation of the tournament. The U18 boys has a great showing in the Cup by posting a 2-1 record in group play with wins against Norway and South Africa and a 1-0 loss to host Sweden. The team advanced out of group play and lost to Greece in the elimination round.
Jim’s profound knowledge and passion truly offers young soccer players the best training opportunity in the Hudson Valley.
Recent Highlights-
October 2009- Jim had been chosen as a candidate and has began his “Master Coach Diploma” Director of Coaching Division, with the NSCAA, (visit www.nscaa.com for Coaching Education Program), the highest license attainable here in the U.S. Coach Lagarde will train and Coach extensively in professional academies (U.S. and International) throughout the course. Coach will be expected to earn every Special Topic Diploma offered within the NSCAA. Jim will have the opportunity to extend his teaching abilities and add to his international experience with many International Coaching trips. The graduation date for the Diploma is January 2011 at the National Convention in Baltimore, Maryland.
November 2009- NSCAA Master Coach Symposium and Special Topic Diploma- “Systems of Play” at the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer College Final Four. Former Head Coach of US Men’s National Team and Kansas City Wizards (2000 MLS Champions), Bob Gansler was Head clinician of the Coaching Course.
January 2010- NSCAA Master Coach Symposium and “National Goalkeeping Diploma” Along with the Other Master Coach Candidates, Coach Lagarde successfully earned the following Special Topic Courses: Fitness-Conditioning-Nutrition, Leadership, Management, and Sports Psychology. Course Instructors were, Dr. Matt Robinson, Dr. Doug Williamson, Dr. Bill Steffen, Anson Dorrance, Chris West, and Jeff Tipping.
May 2010- Earned Special Topic Diploma- “Reading the Game” which took place at the New RedBull Stadium complex. The Game used for Match Analysis was NY RedBull vs. Columbus Crew. Instructed the course was Jeff Tipping with a Post Game analysis with RedBull Assistant Coach Richie Williams.
July-August 2010- Master Coach Study Tour. Master Coach candidates will travel to the UK and begin a 10 day Study Tour of the English Premier League Academies. Master Coach candidates will begin their tour in Manchester at Liverpool F.C. Football Academy and Everton Football Academy. Depart Manchester and travel to London and finish the Study tour at Chelsea and Fulham F.C.
Reggie Warren
Reggie graduated Middletown High School in 1994; while there Reggie received All-County and All-State honors. Reggie played collegiately at Iona and Suny New Paltz. During his collegiate career, Reggie received All-Conference and All Region Honors.
Reggie has been training and coaching alongside Jim Lagarde for over nine years throughout the Hudson Valley Region. Reggie has a great passion and knowledge of the game.
Reggie is currently the Head Coach of TeamPrimo U13 Boys and a Staff coach at PrimoSports
John Carillo
John graduated from Pine Bush High
School in 1998 where he received 1st team All-County,
All-State, & All-Region honors. In 1998 John was named Times
Herald Record “Player of the Year”. John played collegiately at
Iona College in the Division 1 MAAC Conference.
John is the son of Joe Carrillo,
Boys Head Soccer Coach at Pine Bush High School and one of the
most successful coaches in Section IX. Spending a lot of time
alongside dad, truly gives John an advantage as a trainer and as
a coach. John holds a USSF “D” License. John is currently the
coach of TeamPrimo U18Boys and a Staff Coach at PrimoSports.
Rob Mariani
Rob has been involved in playing, coaching and managing soccer for more than 30 years. Today, Rob is Player/Coach in the EDSL Over 30 Men’s League, member of the Cornwall United Board of Directors, NSCAA member and holds a USSF National D License. Rob is the Head Coach for the Girls U16 Sabres TeamPrimo. Rob blends his soccer passion and crisp communication skills with his personal professional success, to promote and teach soccer to anyone who comes in contact with him.
Bertram McDowell
Bertram McDowell Jr graduated from Cornwall Central High School in 2005; while
there he played varsity basketball for three years, earning many honors: Times
Herald Record first team, All-Region honors, named to the “Upstate vs. NYC”
all-star game. He then played collegiately at Sullivan Community College, where
he became the school’s second all-time leading scorer with over 1000 points in
just two years. In 2007, his men’s team won the NJCAA Championship holding an
astonishing record of 32-0. In 2008 he was name NJCAA Player of the Year and he
played in the Annual New Balance JUCO All-Star game in Scottsdale, Arizona. He
then went on to play for the legendary coach Rollie Massimino at Northwood
University. Bertram express great passion for the game of basketball; he coached
a teenage basketball camp at the Cross-Island YMCA. Due to his coaching
experience, as well as his knowledge of the game, he is PrimoSport’s basketball
instructor and the coach of TeamPrimo AAU 12&under.
Michael Grace
Mike is a current senior at Warwick Valley High School. Mike has 4 years of
coaching and training experience working with the Warwick youth lax program.
Last year as a junior Mike was named 1st team all section goalkeeper and team
MVP for section 9 class “A” Champions. Mike holds the school records for career
save percentage and goals against average entering his senior year season this
spring. Coach Mike is being recruited by several NCAA division I, II, & III
schools. Working with Mike will give all youth lax players beginner and advance
the opportunity to fine tune their skill sets while learning and having fun.
Demetric Gardner
Demetric is a 1998 graduate of Pine Bush High School where he was a 4 year varsity starter. He received several Section 9 Honors at the Running Back and Linebacker postions as well as Section 9 Player of the Week awards. He played collegiate football at Clarion University in Pennsylvania. He started all 4 years as running back and was elected Captain his senior year. While at Clarion he received awards for All-Conference, Weekly Honors, & school rushing records. After graduation he was invited to the Scout Camp Elite Combine in Indianapolis. He recently coached at Middletown High School and Monsignor Pace High School in Florida. Demetric is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Physical Education from Manhattanville College.
Ryan Black
Coach Black graduated from Washingtonville High School in 2008, where he
wrestled 4 varsity
seasons and was team captain for 2 years. Coach Black stays active in wrestling
by entering
open tournaments. Coach Black coached the Washingtonville Youth team in their
2008-2009
season.

Mike Tangney
A SUNY Brockport graduate is truly a student of the game. Earning a bachelor's degree in physical education from SUNY Brockport and a master's degree in Elementary education from Long Island University he has managed to mix the art of teaching fitness as well as life skills to the younger generation of players. His experience as an assistant and head coach at the high school level, accompanied with a decade of camp and league directing, has given him the unique ability to teach all skill levels.
Dan Tangney
Plattsburgh basketball standout Daniel Tangney was captain of the most dominant team in all of the SUNY basketball systems. He is joined by few on any level by winning 3 conference championships and making 3 NCAA appearances. One of Tangney's most notable achievements that remain in the school's history is his single season 3 point percentage (.464%). As a four year starter he understands the value of hard work towards personal goals and sacrifice towards team goals.
